Rooted in the language of the hand — one of art history's most ancient and enduring symbols — the L'Objet Edgar Oval Tray is a modernist reinterpretation rendered in extraordinary craft. Each tray is handcrafted using marquetry techniques, a centuries-old woodworking art form in which precisely cut veneers of authentic exotic woods are fitted together to form intricate patterns and imagery across the surface. The result is a tray that feels more like a found object than a functional piece — something to be looked at closely, touched, and displayed as much as used. The organic oval silhouette keeps the form clean and contemporary, allowing the rich grain patterns and warm tonal variations of the exotic wood veneers to take center stage.
