The Blade Pendant brings the elegant form of leaves into a dramatic sculptural lighting design inspired by the tropical foliage of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Conceived and handcrafted by artist Xavier Clarisse in his Durban studio, the pendant showcases locally sourced, vegetable-tanned bovine leather shaped through a traditional pressing technique. The leather is embossed and perforated to create a beautifully sculpted surface before being folded into its distinctive leaf-like form. A sophisticated Black and Gold two-tone finish adds striking contrast, complemented by a brass closure and rayon cable. With its exceptionally elongated profile, the pendant creates an artistic vertical statement in grand entryways, stairwells, double-height spaces, and other dramatic interiors. The installation height can be modified to suit the space, offering additional versatility for architectural applications. Black/Gold is made to order with a 12–14 week lead time. UL-listed for dry locations and intended for indoor use only. LED bulbs are not included.
